Restorative Dentistry for Children Joliet
Customized Protection Against Sensitivity & Cavities

The unfortunate reality is that, just like adults, it’s common for children to need restorative dental treatments like a filling, crown, or pulpotomy. While our team takes a conservative approach to caring for growing smiles in an effort to make sure your child’s experience at the dental office is as positive as possible, sometimes, treatment is necessary. Fortunately, our experienced and fun pediatric dental team knows exactly what we’re doing! If your child is experiencing tooth sensitivity, a toothache, or any other dental symptoms, give us a call today!

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are natural-looking restorations that are hand-crafted by our pediatric dentist in-office to make sure they provide durable protection against future cavities and infection. In cases where your child is experiencing decay in a permanent tooth or more progressed decay in a temporary tooth, we may recommend this treatment to prevent the issue from leading to a tooth infection. Fillings can also help minimize sensitivity as a result of cavities!
Dental Crowns

Crowns are designed to fit over the top, biting surface of teeth that have either been previously treated (like after a pulpotomy) or when a tooth has become cracked or severely damaged. Our crowns are customized to protect against future dental problems like infections by sealing bacteria out. They also allow your child to continue using their tooth without experiencing pain or sensitivity.
Pulpotomy

Whenever we have a chance to save a child’s tooth, we take it! A pulpotomy allows us to preserve infected baby teeth by removing the damaged portion of the pulp, which is located within the inner chamber of their tooth. We’ll then restore the tooth using a putty-like substance called gutta percha and top it off with a dental crown to provide it with additional protection and support.
