Get to Know Dr. Brittaney Hill

Dr. Hill has over 10 years of experience and is proud to be the owner of Joliet Pediatric Dentistry as well as a pediatric dentist here! One of her favorite parts of her career is being able to create positive experiences for children and their parents, as well as setting all of her patients up for a lifetime of good oral health. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Hill decided she wanted to become a dentist when she was in middle school. Her grandmother worked at a dental office, allowing her to shadow her at the practice from a very early age. She saw how her grandmother was able to create meaningful, personal connections with her patients and help them achieve healthier smiles, and she wanted to be able to have a similar impact on people’s lives.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Hill attended Xavier University of Louisiana for her undergraduate studies and Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry afterwards. Today, she’s a board-certified pediatric dentist, Clinical Associate Professor, and the Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program Director at University of Illinois – Chicago.

To stay up to date with the latest advancements in her field, she also remains an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists, National Dental Association, and the International College of Dentists.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Whenever Dr. Hill isn’t at the office, you can find her spending time with her husband and daughter. She enjoys watching and attending sporting events and is a big WNBA fan. She also enjoys volunteering with her church children’s ministry, trying new restaurants, traveling, and being involved in service and organized dentistry. A fun fact about Dr. Hill is that she played intramural basketball in college!
